Mrs. Edwards? Christian Dance Club will give students an opportunity to learn that God calls His children to worship Him, and from that worship, there should be an outward expression of love for Him that comes from participation of all one?s heart, should and mind and strength because He is worthy to be praised! From this expression of worship that God commands, the students will learn that dance has a significant place in worship of Him.
The dance club will teach a few basic dance technique (basic ballet positions) which will be incorporated into a dance ? to be presented on the last day of the club for parents. There will be three sections of the club:
- Dance Technique ? basic ballet positions taught
- Dance Expression Exercises ? students will be taught how to use their bodies, creativity and imagination to express to God their own personal worship.
- Practice of the Dance ? students will practice a pre-choreographed dance piece which will be presented on the last day of the club
