Mrs. Ghelani, an accomplished calligrapher, is starting a calligraphy club. Students will learn the basics of holding the pen correctly, beginners? calligraphy strokes, some fancy calligraphic fonts, writing sentences and paragraphs using correct techniques and measurements, and making a card using creative designs. They will also learn the mechanism, maintenance and cleaning of the pen.

Open to students in Grades 5?8
Start: Monday, October 3, 2016
End: Monday, November 28, 2016
Time: 4:00-5:00 p.m.
Frequency: Every Monday for a total of 8 sessions (No lesson on Thanksgiving Day ? Oct. 10)
Fee: $60

Requirements: All supplies (that are somewhat expensive) are provided, including calligraphy pen set, ink cartridges and a binder/folder.
